2008: Ann Wyckoff

  • Ann Wyckoff is a long-time Seattle University friend and benefactress. She served on the Seattle University Board of Regents from 1972 to 1981, and the Board of Trustees from 1982 to 1998. Since 1998, Ann has been a Seattle University Trustee Emerita. She currently serves on the Seattle University Campaign Steering Committee.

    Over the years, Ann has served the university in a variety of volunteer roles and as a member of numerous committees. She has been a lead benefactor for our campaigns including offering a significant leadership gift for the Library Campaign. In 1987, Ann was awarded an honorary doctorate for her extraordinary contributions to Seattle University.

    Ann has also been a faithful Seattle University supporter in her service as a knowledgeable advisor to university leadership. With her BA in political science from Stanford University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Washington, she is a true believer in the intrinsic value of education. Her commitment to Seattle University is strong. She is a regular participant in Seattle University activities and she continues to strongly promote Jesuit education and scholarship.

    Outside of the university, Ann has also been involved with many organizations in the Seattle community. She has served on the Board of Trustees at the Seattle Art Museum, and chaired the SAM board committee which oversaw the development of the Olympic Sculpture Park. She has consistently demonstrated her unflagging dedication to the betterment of the community.

    For many years, Ann has served as either a director or officer of the Norcliffe Foundation, the organization which coordinates the generous philanthropic activities of the Pigott family. She has repeatedly demonstrated her commitment to the Seattle University mission of creating a just and humane world in these activities as well.

    Ann continues to inspire others in her energetic efforts to improve the world in the spirit of the Jesuit charism. She is an inspirational model for the St. Ignatius Award.
