    In recognition and appreciation of their outstanding leadership, service and support, Seattle University is proud to confer its most prestigious and highest honor, the St. Ignatius Medal, to Jim and Janet Sinegal.The St. Ignatius Medal was presented at Seattle University's Annual Gala on October 29, 2011.

    Jim and Janet Sinegal are extraordinary leaders, committed to service. They have demonstrated an unwavering dedication and generosity for the underserved and most vulnerable in our region to provide these populations with critical educational opportunities and much needed health care.

    Jim and Janet Sinegal have helped to make a college education possible for hundreds of Seattle University students most notably through the creation of the Costco Scholarship Fund and the Sinegal Nursing Initiative.Among their volunteer commitments, Jim and Janet have served in leadership capacities on the board of trustees for Seattle University and Seattle Children's.The Sinegals are an inspiration to others.
