CIMAS in Ecuador
Seattle University is a cooperating member of the Washington State Cooperative Development Program in Ecuador.
Academics: The Intensive Language & Culture Program is offered summer quarter only. Students study Spanish language intensively through class work, lecture, seminars, workshops, field trips and cultural events. Study of Latin American culture is integrated into language instruction and incorporates historical, anthropological, political, and economic dimensions. This is a 10 week program running late June to Late August.
Credits: Students will receive 16 quarter credits for each program.
Housing: Students will live with host families during their stay to mazimize opportunities for oral proficiency.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Two years of Spanish (at least one of which must be at the college-level) is required.
