Career Counseling Resources

  • Individualized Counseling

Career planning, job search strategies, resume reviews, and mock interviews are offered through individual counseling appointments. The Albers Placement Center helps undergrad and graduate business students and Albers alumni develop the tools to reach their goals. Please contact us at (206) 296-5687 for an appointment.

    CareerLeader Assessment

The CareerLeader program is a fully integrated approach to business career self-assessment. This free assessment is available to both undergraduate and graduate students. The 60-minute online assessment is designed to help students in their career exploration, planning, and decision-making. The assessment results reveal the key interests, motivators, and skills of a student, the organizational culture that fits the student, and the business careers that best match the student. The assessment also provides "next step" suggestions on how the student can make the most of career planning and preparation.

This assessment is a key tool for any undergraduate or graduate student in the Albers School who would like personalized information about their strengths and career preferences to provide direction in career planning.

To take the assessment, contact the Albers Placement Center for an appointment with a career advisor: (206) 296-5687 or visit Pigott 331.

    Career Development Workshops

Various seminars are provided throughout the year on career topics including job search strategies, resume writing, finding an internship, and interviewing skills. Sometimes representatives from local employers will conduct the workshops so you can get the chance to learn more about the companies and what they’re looking for when hiring candidates. Check the About the Center page for more information on upcoming workshops.
