  • April Music Series Celebrates Brahms

    April 4, 2013

The music program celebrates the 130th anniversary of the birth of Johannes Brahms with a series of special events in April. Concerts on April 11- 14 include performances by faculty and students and feature choral and chamber music.

“We will be performing pieces in intimate settings where everyone will discover the beauty and essence of Johannes Brahms,” said Music Professor Quinton Morris, director of Chamber and Instrumental Music in the Fine Arts Department. “Listening and performing the music of Johannes Brahms is like chocolate; you can never get enough.”

The concerts include trios, quartets, and lieder that reflect the depth and breadth of the Brahms repertoire.

The Brahms music series of day and evening performances takes place April 11 – 14, 2013, on the Seattle University campus. Complete details are on the university events calendar at this link

The College of Arts and Sciences, the largest college in Seattle University, offers 42 undergraduate majors, 37 minors, and 7 master’s degrees, including an MFA in Arts Leadership.
