  • Karen Porterfield to Speak in “Service in Action” Seminar

    Karen Porterfield ,  Adjunct Professor in the Master of Public Administration program presents “Service in Action” Seminar on November 5 to benefit the Master of Public Administration/Executive Master of Nonprofit Leadership  Scholarship Fund.

    Porterfield’s seminar, “Winning the Grant Game: For Beginning and Intermediate Players,” demonstrates how to increase the odds of getting your grant request funded. Seminar attendees will learn how to target funding requests for maximum impact, discover compelling ways to tell a story, and understand how to present supporting materials that strengthen both the organization and the request.

    Please register  for this day-long event at. Cost is $100 for SU Student/Alumni/Employee and $125 for General Public. Price includes lunch. All proceeds benefit the MPA/MNPL scholarship fund.

    This seminar series is a program of the College of Arts and Sciences, which offers seven advanced degree programs and provides nonprofit and public service professionals with continuing education opportunities and access to current trends.
