  • German Consul Ahrens to Speak on Sports, Commerce, and Culture

    German Consul Michael Ahrens comes to campus to discuss sports in the context of cultural and commercial ties between Germany and the Pacific Northwest on March 2. Germany is hosting the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2011.

    According to Professor Cordula Brown, Department of Modern Languages and Cultures, attendees can expect information conveying a realistic image of modern Germany which often contrasts with old stereotypes.

     The presentation, which is open to the public, is set for 2 – 3 p.m. on March 2 in Bannan 410 on the Seattle University campus.

    The Department of Modern Languages and Cultures in the College of Arts and Sciences offers undergraduate degrees in German, Japanese, Italian, French, Chinese, and Spanish.
