  • Theatre Students Shine in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”

    Theatre majors Zoey Belyea and Kacey Shiflet made their debuts with the Seattle Shakespeare Company in the production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Belyea played Snug and Shiflet was Cobweb in the 4-week production at Seattle Center. Both women are seniors.

    Belyea, who grew up in Seattle, has performed at Theater Shmeater and Live Girls! Theater and in 14/48: The World’s Quickest Theatre Festival. In Theatre Department productions, she played Mummy in The Ghost Sonata and Pooty in Reckless.

    Shiflet came to Seattle University from Kingsburg, CA. She played the title role in Nora and Milkmaid in The Ghost Sonata and appeared in several other Theatre Department productions including Reckless, The Island of Slaves, and The Vagina Monologues. She currently holds an assistantship in Scenic Design and Technical Direction. 

    The College of Arts and Sciences, the largest college in Seattle University, offers 33 undergraduate and 7 advanced degrees, including and MFA in Arts Leadership.
