Diana Chamorro, Master of Sport Administration and Leadership class of 2011, earned national honors for her work as Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at Princeton University. The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) awarded Princeton its National Water Polo Sports Information Office of the Year. Diana Chamorro and her colleague Yariv Amir achieved national exposure for water polo on ESPN, enabled internet streaming, and provided a continuous stream of publicity for the sport.
The office was selected from all varsity institutions around the country for achieving notable national excellence in the field of water polo communications during both the men's and women's seasons.
“Princeton proved itself to be the conference champion in both genders during the 2011-12 academic year," noted CWPA Director of Communications Ed Haas. "Speaking with other Sports Information Directors around the country while coordinating the National Polls, the peak performance of Princeton's Athletic Communications Office was noted by professionals on both coasts."
The Master of Sport Administration and Leadership is one of 7 advanced degrees offered by the College of Arts and Sciences, the largest college in Seattle University.
