At Seattle University, Pre-Education is not a specific major
or program of study. Instead, it is an advising resource available to help
students explore career options in education and pathways to teaching. Pre-Education
Advisors are available to assist you from the early stages of career discernment
to the time you are ready to apply to teacher certification programs.
Pre-Education Advising seeks to help first-year,
current, and transfer students, as well as alumni, prepare for graduate-level
teacher certification, Master in Teaching programs and teaching careers through
academic advising and programming. Specifically, the program is designed to
assist those who are considering teaching at the Preschool through 12th Grade

If you are interested in a teaching career, you are encouraged to meet with a Pre-Education advisor, in addition to any online research you undergo.
