Master of Public Administration


  • Seattle University’s Master of Public Administration curriculum cuts across disciplinary lines to focus on organizational leadership, public policy analysis and implementation, management control, and economics.

    The MPA requires the completion of 54 credits.

    • Required courses: 24 credits in the core and 9 credits in a specialization, either government or nonprofit.
    • Electives: 21 credits. These are designed to enrich the student’s understanding of particular aspects of public service.

    The curriculum is designed to accommodate working students. All classes are offered in the evenings or on Saturdays.
