Do you know someone who would be a great mentor? Send them a message right now and let them know you think they have a lot to offer. Mentors can be SU alumni, members of the community, parents of current or former students - anyone who believes in the power of mentorship and wants to help shape the leaders of tomorrow. Best of all, they can participate whether they live near or far - being geographically located in Seattle is not a requirement.
Here is a great email template to send a message:
I think you would make
a great mentor in the Seattle U Redhawk Network Mentor Program, and I wanted
send you some information about it so you can sign up too.
Career Services is
looking for alumni and other community members to join the mentor program so we
can provide advice and support to SU students and graduates with questions
about their career paths. When you sign
up, you can make yourself available to mentees in ways that fit your
schedule. Mentors can choose the level
of involvement and activities most comfortable to them
and can sign up no matter where they are located. Some students are looking to relocate after
graduation or to talk with people who live in their hometowns, so not everyone
needs to be in Seattle.
