  •  Commencement 2011 KEY

KeyArena at Seattle Center was at-capacity Sunday, June 16, as family and friends gathered to celebrate the graduation of the Class of 2013. The ebullient scene had began the day before with the baccalaureate Mass and brunch. There were 1,206 undergraduates and 864 graduate students who received their degrees this year. Seattle based author Erik Larson provided encouragement during the undergraduate commencement speech, while Dr. John Koster framed his corporate experience for the graduate class of 2013.

"You make it all go so easy, and I know it takes a lot of work behind the scenes to make it so easy for us."

It Says a Lot About Seattle University

From a guest that attended a chemistry conference: "I thought that Seattle U. was a beautiful urban campus. The conference support staff and residence hall staff were so friendly that I felt at home right away. I also liked that we were meeting every day in a "green" building. The accomodations were fine. The food was very good.

"Please pass along my thanks and appreciation to all of the Seattle U. folks for everything. Such consideration and care given to guests who are really complete strangers says a lot about an institution."
