Summer guests stay in comfortable suites, apartments or residence halls that are a short walk to meeting rooms and food service. Living on campus provides opportunities to meet and exchange ideas with other conference participants in informal settings in addition to formal programs.

Available in the summer months only, we provide choices from simple to indulgent amenities, and options for all budgets.

The following are available to overnight guests:

  • Parking on campus
  • High-speed internet access (connect your own computer to our wireless network on campus, with a cable in your bedroom, or use one of our computers in our in-building labs)
  • Concierge services at our desks; our staff will research routes, print maps, and give you all kinds of resources and information upon request

Each residence also provides amenities to guests:

  • Lounges on all floors
  • Ice machines
  • Laundry facilities
  • Vending machines
  • Business center for copies and printing
  • Big-screen TV and DVD player

The guest services desk is open from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily, or for extended hours upon request. Guests may still check in and out at any time with our on call personnel.

 

Availability/Booking Policies

On campus accommodations are provided in the summer months only. Generally from mid-June to Labor Day, upcoming availability includes:

June 17 through September 3, 2013
June 18 through September 4, 2014

We are able to offer lodging, food, and meeting space as a package only, and may contract only with groups or organizations. We are sorry, but we are unable to offer accommodations on an individual basis.

Groups that are booked by students, faculty and/or staff members for programs that will have an official affiliation with Seattle University will receive special consideration for summer housing:

  • Discounted rates are available on housing and facility charges
  • Minimum stay requirements are waived
  • Booking fees and advanced deposits may be waived

Be sure to become familiar with the Seattle University Sponsored/Hosted Group policy [link to 1.2.5.0.2] and request a waiver form if your program will meet the criteria!

 

Housing Registration Services

For a per person fee, Conference and Event Services will accept registrations for housing and meal plans from participants of your group. CES will set up the online registration site, collect the funds, and be responsible for any housing or meal plan guarantees for these groups.

Certain minimum numbers of participants apply.

 

Suite Style Lodging 

Seattle University is proud to offer our newly remodeled suites for summer guests. Chardin Hall not only offers one- or two-bedroom suites with their own bathroom facilities, but also meeting space within the building.

Chardin Hall offers the following amenities:

  • Parking right in front of the building
  • Concierge services at our desks; our staff will research routes, print maps, and give you all kinds of resources and information upon request

With 140 beds, eight meeting rooms right in the building, a computer lab, parking right in front, and comfortable lounge and garden spaces, Chardin Hall really is a retreat center that is amazing to find on a college campus. With parking It is close to Campion Tower residence hall and the Murphy Apartments, so makes a wonderful choice for larger programs that want to offer several options to their participants.

Chardin is also just a skybridge walk away from the Student Center’s larger facilities, so is close to the heart of the campus as well

For groups that want comfortable and impressive amenities and pampering at a college campus rate, Chardin is truly an incredible value.

 

Apartment Lodging

Campion Lobby

The Archbishop Murphy Apartments come with parking right below the apartments.

Four styles of apartments are available. All apartments have kitchenettes, and bathroom facilities. The available configurations are:

  • Studio
  • One-bedroom, with two beds and living room
  • Townhouse, with two single bedrooms and living room
  • Quad, with four single bedrooms, two bathrooms, and living room

Kitchenettes have the following:

  • Full size 4-burner stove and oven
  • Full size refrigerator
  • Full size dishwasher
  • A mid-sized 700- 900 watt microwave

Available for longer-term stays if desired, there is a one-week minimum stay required for any apartment reservation. For hosted or sponsored groups, however, the minimum is waived and shorter stays may be arranged. 

The Murphy Apartments are also a perfect place to accommodate program VIPs or special guests; even if the majority of your participants are staying in another building, you may reserve a space or two in the apartments to provide more privacy to special program members.

And speaking of “special,” ask for our Signature Service—even more amenities! Each guest will arrive to find chocolates on the pillows, hotel-quality bedspread, coffee maker (and supplies), desk lamp, iron and ironing board, rotating fan, and a hair dryer in the apartment. We strive to ensure that you only have to bring your clothes so that you can spend all your attention on the program!

 

Residence Hall Lodging

Seattle University has three standard campus residence halls: Bellarmine Hall, Campion Tower, and Xavier Hall.

All residence halls feature these amenities:

  • Parking available for the entirety of your stay
  • High-speed internet access (connect your own computer to our wireless network on campus, with a cable in your bedroom, or use one of our computers in our in-building lab)
  • Concierge services at our desks; our staff will research routes, print maps, and give you all kinds of resources and information upon request

Each residence hall bedroom features:

  • Vanity with sink in every bedroom
  • Twin-sized bed(s)
  • Sink and mirror
  • Two large centrally located bathrooms per floor

Each residence also has services and offerings for our guests:

  • Lounges on all floors
  • Ice machines
  • Laundry facilities
  • Vending machines
  • Business center for copies and printing
  • Big-screen TV and DVD player

Bellarmine Hall is located in the center of campus, and has a unique feature among our residences: there is a large patio off the second floor. The seven-story building houses up to 400 guests, and each bedroom has a microwave/refrigerator unit.  A lounge in the basement just off the lobby stairs often serves as an office area or “operations center” for programs in the building, and the large, comfortably appointed lobby is equally pleasant for registrations and receptions.

Each room is furnished with the following:

  • Twin beds (towels, linens, blanket and pillow provided)..
  • Two modular closets with drawer space for up to two people.
  • Desks with chairs
  • Bulletin board and bookshelf space
  • Vanity with sink and mirror
  • Micro-Fridge (combination microwave and refrigerator)
  • High-speed internet access

Each floor has:

  • Two centrally located bathrooms and a private, disabled-accessible bathroom with shower
  • Lounge area with soft seating and TV/DVD player

Other building amenities:

  • Ice machines
  • Laundry
  • Vending Machines

Campion Tower is located on the south side of campus with plenty of nearby parking. The twelve-story building houses roughly 650 guests, and higher rooms have beautiful views of downtown Seattle, Elliott Bay, Mount Rainier and the Olympic and Cascade mountain ranges. The building features a business center in the lobby with copying and printing services. Guests may also visit the secluded Tea Garden, located within steps of the main entrance. Campion is also home to the Ecumenical Chapel, Multi-faith Prayer Room and the Campion Ballroom.

Each room is carpeted and furnished with the following:

  • One or two twin beds (towels, linens, blanket and pillow provided)
  • One or two modular closets with drawer space for up to two people
  • One or two desks with chairs
  • Bulletin board and bookshelf space
  • Vanity with sink and mirror
  • High-speed internet access

Each floor has:

  • Two centrally located bathrooms
  • Lounge area with soft seating and TV/DVD player

Other building amenities:

  • Laundry
  • Game Room
  • Ice machine

Xavier Hall is located on the north side of campus. The building can accommodate up to 180 guests on three floors. Each room has a microwave/refrigerator unit as well as laundry facilities on each floor. The main lobby has comfortable soft seating, a fireplace and big screen TV with DVD.

Each room is carpeted and furnished with the following:

  • Wardrobes with drawers
  • Desks with chairs
  • Bulletin board and bookshelf space
  • Vanity with sink and mirror
  • Micro-Fridge (combination microwave and refrigerator)

Residence Security

: Each guest staying in a campus residence is issued a personalized key packet upon check in. The packet includes a room key, Conference Card, and a meal plan information sheet (if applicable). The Conference Card provides 24-hour access to the guest's residence hall and elevators. After the desk closes at 11:00 p.m., Public Safety officers patrol the residences and are available to answer questions, escort guests on campus after dark, and respond to emergencies.
