Students may choose to complete a Master of Education degree or a Master of Arts degree. Both require the same number of credits, the internship, and completion of the Comprehensive Examination. The Master of Arts option requires completion of a graduate project while the Master of Education option allows students to complete an additional elective.
Regardless of the degree option, students choose a specialization in Adult Basic Education, Human Resources Development, or English as a Second Language.

Prepares individuals to work in community colleges or social service agencies helping adults improve basic skills in reading, writing, and math.
Designed for those who wish to administer or instruct in employer-sponsored training programs.
Prepares individuals to work with adult learners who wish to improve their ability to speak English.
