Each year Seattle University graduates 12 - 15 students in the Educational Administration program who are prepared to assume administrative positions. More than half are successful in obtaining assistant principal, principal, or other administrative positions upon graduating. The Program for New Principals serves those individuals who have earned a degree in Educational Administration and who are employed in school administrative roles.Leadership Coaches will provide three to six hours a month of one-on- one, on-site leadership coaching to new administrators.
These sessions will include feedback for the new administrator on classroom observations, post-observation conferences, parent meetings, and faculty meetings. They will also provide the new administrator opportunities to problem solve in a confidential, supportive environment. Leadership Coaches are retired or experienced administrators, who are committed to developing exceptional school leaders, want to make a difference, and see themselves as change agents in pursuit of excellence for students.
