Our curriculum takes participants to the next level in their careers by teaching the skills to be ethical, reflective, culturally competent professionals who lead with integrity, embrace diversity and advance social justice in our world.
The Educational Leadership Doctoral program consists of a core curriculum in leadership studies, courses in a professional concentration, intentional internships and immersion or study abroad options all organized to meet the needs of our students. The development of research skills begins at the onset and occurs throughout the program to help students progress smoothly through dissertation completion. Students work in small research groups, under the guidance of a lead faculty member, pursuing solutions to real-world questions. We believe our individualized approach to learning contributes to the program's high completion rate (85% of our EDLR students complete the program).
