Words of gratitude

Posted on Wednesday, November 27, 2013

FallReflectionBelltower_WCWe asked what you are grateful for and a couple colleagues sent in responses. Here they are...

Joelle Pretty, director of Premajor Studies and Student Academic Persistence:

"This year I am incredibly thankful for my colleagues in the Bellarmine Advising Center. They have supported me through major life transitions, including beginning my doctoral program (the EDLR here at SU); have developed innovative programs for teaching and learning; have cared for students holistically; and have maintained their smiles and sense of humor through it all. BEST. STAFF. EVER."

Amy Lane, gift and data integrity coordinator:

"I am grateful for my guy, my family, my friends, my job and a roof over my head. Beautiful sunrises, smiles from babies, purring from kittens, the first snowfall of winter and the warmth of the sun on my face during summer."

Meisenbachs_WCWell over 700 supporters turned out for SU's 30th annual Gala. The Oct. 26 celebration raised more than $850,000 for student scholarships. Also at the event, longtime friends of the university, John and Ginny Meisenbach (above), received the St. Ignatius Medal, the university's most prestigious and highest honor.
