TimEganUndergrad_ATJTim Egan, pictured here addressing SU's undergraduates at the 2012 Commencement, was awarded the second annual Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction and Nonfiction. Egan took home the nonfiction prize for Short Nights of the Shadow Catcher: The Epic Life and Immortal Photographs of Edward Curtis (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt). You may recognize that title--it was the book that Father Steve identified as his favorite read from the past year in his Q&A with The Commons.
