Housing Selection Process

  • The Returning Resident Housing Selection Process will begin April 2nd and end April 30th. Prior to the start of selection you will receive email instructions for signing-up, and an online selection time. This is an online process.

    Important Points to Remember

    • You will be signing up for the entire academic year: fall, winter and spring quarters.
    • Only current residents living in on-campus housing who are returning as a full-time student for the academic school year are eligible to participate in the online housing selection process.
    • Once you sign-up you have until May 1st to cancel without penalty, so make sure you cancel by then to avoid a cancellation fee.
    • There is no separate process for Learning Community selection; the room you select will determine which Learning Community you belong to.
    • The online portal is scheduled to open on March 1st. At that time you can log-in, fill out information, and create roommate groups, but you will not be able to view and select a room until your specific selection time.
    • Your selection times will be sometime between April 2nd - April 12th.
    • Be sure to check your SU email account for Housing Selection information and appointment times!
    • No guarantee you can remain in your current room next year, aka no “squatting”
    • If there are specific housing accommodations you need please contact the Office of Disability Services. Loyola 100, at 206.269.5740. Accommodations may take time to process, so be sure to submit a request early, before the online selection process begins.
    • Online selection times are based on the number of credits you have accumulated at the end of winter quarter, selection times are allocated in descending order. If you will have over 160 credits, you will need to contact the HRL office if you are planning to live on-campus next year.

    MyHousing Portal

    The MyHousing Portal is your online tool to identify and select your on-campus housing! Log-in using your SU ID number and SU Online/MySU password. Select the application for Fall Quarter; you will be able to begin filling out the application and create roommate groups prior to your assigned housing selection time.

    If you have completed the MyHousing Portal and were not able to select the room space that you wanted, please be sure to add yourself and your roommate group to the desired waiting list. If you would like to modify your waitlist status, please email our office at housing@seattleu.edu.
