Millie Bown Russell Leadership and Social Change

  • What does leadership look like as a Redhawk? “The Millie” offers students the opportunity to explore Seattle University’s mission of “empowering leaders for a just and humane world”. This community, named after a local civil rights heroine and SU alum, believes that leadership is an inclusive process by which positive change is effected for and with others, and that leadership is a process rather than a position. Through academic, spiritual and social explorations, students are encouraged to build their leadership gifts and talents, discover their passions and apply this understanding to their pursuit of justice in its variety of dimensions.
