Seattle University Hosts Election Night Results Viewing Party

WHAT: Hundreds of students are expected to gather on the Seattle University campus tonight, for an election night results viewing party. While new voter registration is down for many universities, it has significantly increased at SU.

SU ranked second in Washington for voter registration proportionate to school population and first out of all private schools. The SU Student Government partnered with the Political Science Club and Washington Bus to register nearly 600 new student voters, 12 percent of the university’s undergraduate population.

The event will kick off with a faculty member giving a briefing on the electoral process. Local and national election results will be streamed live throughout the evening. The festivities will also include various activities, food and a photo booth.
