Seattle University Book Festival Draws International Authors

One of the nation’s largest annual book festivals, is less than a month away. The Searchfor Meaning Book Festival is free and open to the public, with world classcontent surrounding the human search for meaning as a service to the community.  

TheFestival gathers locally, nationally and internationally renownedauthors on issues of spirituality, faith and social justice. SeattleUniversity’s ecumenical, inter-religious, and diverse graduate School ofTheology and Ministry hosts the Festival annually, with growth and climbingnational attention every year.

This Festival’s keynote speakers are New York Times Bestseller andChaplain of the Colbert Report, James Martin S.J. and Pulitzer Prize winningpoet Mary Oliver. The more than 40 authors include poet David Whyte, novelistDavid Guterson and Buddhist writer Michael Lisagor. 
  

TheFestival also features a politically timely Mormon and evangelicaldialogue by the authors of “Bridging the Divide: The Continuing Conversationbetween a Mormon and an Evangelical.”   

Liveartists and musicians expressing their search for meaning and interactive artareas for participants will also be featured.   

Allauthors are available for book signings. Elliott Bay Book Company and SeattleUniversity Bookstore will provide books for purchase.  

Morethan 2000 attendees have already registered for the event, and those interestedare encouraged to reserve their free tickets as soon as possible, as the eventis expected to sell out.
