Seattle University and Nicaragua
Seattle University has shared an important and ongoing relationship with the country of Nicaragua since 1996, representing a valuable expression of our global educational engagement and commitment to "empowering leaders for a more just and humane world." Over the past 13 years, the university has brought more than 130 faculty and staff members and 32 students to Nicaragua, and over the past decade there have been 25 different initiatives in the areas of teaching & learning, scholarship, and collaborative projects involving 115 students and 33 faculty and staff.
