Three Nursing Students Receive Naef ScholarshipCongratulations to 2013-2014 Naef Scholarship recipients: Kelsie Deisinger, Kimberly Ito, and Elizabeth Jester!
Congratulations to SU nursing student, Kelsie Deisinger (BSN ’15), who received the Student Leader of the Year Award (awarded to only the top student leaders of Enactus nationally), and was one of 2 finalists for the Ambassador of Enactus award (the highest honor bestowed to an Enactus student). She will receive two scholarships as a result of her accomplishments in Seattle Enactus.Enactus is an international non-profit organization that brings together student, academic and business leaders who are committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need.“The accomplishments of the team are driven by an entrepreneurial spirit committed to improving the standard of living and quality of life for the poor and marginalized in Seattle; enabling a gateway of job opportunity for unemployed local veterans; giving a non-profit in Nepal the tools to grow and develop in order to fight for women facing human rights violations; and providing neighborhood improvement and consulting services to struggling small businesses in the 23rd and Union neighborhood” said Tim O’Reilly, this year’s SU Enactus president.If you are interested in finding out more about the Seattle Enactus team, visit seattleuenactus.com
