Bowie and Katherine Camacho Carr appear in Journal of Professional NursingThe article, “From Coach to Colleague: Adjusting Pedagogical Approaches and Attitudes in Accelerated Nursing Programs” discusses pedagogical approaches helpful in teaching and mentoring accelerated nursing students.

College of Nursing Assistant Professor, Steven Palazzo, PhD, NM, RN, has been chosen to advance to the next stage in the selection process for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) Nurse Faculty Scholars (NFS) program. After rigorous review, the NFS National Advisory Committee and the National Program Office have recommended that Dr. Palazzo interview with members of the RWJF National Advisory Committee. Only 21 candidates from across the country were selected to participate in this semi-final stage of the process. Dr. Palazzo will be interviewing with members of the RWJF National Advisory Committee in St. Louis, MO this coming June. Congratulations goes out to Steven for this incredible honor and opportunity.
About Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Nurse Faculty Scholars (NFS)The goal of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation NFS program is to develop the next generation of national leaders in academic nursing through career development awards for outstanding junior nursing faculty. The program aims to strengthen the academic productivity and overall excellence of nursing schools by providing mentorship, leadership training, and salary and research support to young faculty.
