The Susan McCabe lectureship honors the memory of Dr. Susan McCabe EdD, APRN, BC. A committee of the International Society of Psychiatric Nurses (ISPN) selects an individual to receive this award and deliver the Susan McCabe Lecture at the ISPN Psychopharmacology Institute and Annual Conference each year. An advanced practice psychiatric nurse is selected based on his/her career contributions that exemplify Dr. McCabe’s values and the principles that guided her life. These values include a tireless and focused commitment to improve care for individuals with mental illness who are underserved and typically stigmatized and/or disenfranchised, and a constant dedication to educating and mentoring others to become the “next generation” of clinicians. Dr. DeSocio will deliver the Susan McCabe keynote lecture at the ISPN Psychopharmacology Institute and Annual Conference on March 25, 2014 in Greenville, South Carolina. The title of her lecture is “The Synergy of Psychotherapy and Psychopharmacology in Mediating Brain Change.”
Please join us in congratulating Dr. DeSocio on receiving this great honor! Click HERE for more information Dr. Susan McCabe and the Lectureship.
