She will receive two scholarships as a result of her accomplishments in Seattle Enactus.

On Sunday, June 12, 1,206 undergraduates and 864 graduate students representing the Class of 2011 will receive their degrees during commencement ceremonies at Key Arena in Seattle. Among them will be Steven Shrives (BSN Spring '11) who was chosen out of a highly competitive group of candidates as one of two student speakers at this year’s ceremony.
Steven Shrives, a native of Creswell, Ore., will graduate with a Bachelor in Nursing. He has been an avid participant in intramurals and is a recent inductee into Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing. Shrives is also a member of the Army ROTC’s Major Patrick H. Brady Battalion. He has been commissioned in the United States Army as a member of the Nursing Corps where he looks forward to using his skills and expertise in service to his country. Long term, he hopes to pursue a career in trauma and emergency care.
It is an honor for Shrives and the College of Nursing to have one of its new BSN graduates chosen to represent the university at commencement. Please join us in congratulating Shrives and all of our graduates at the 2011 commencement next Sunday, June 12.
