The application deadline for fall 2014 admission is December 15, 2013. All application materials must be received by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions by this date for the application to be considered. Click here for Transfer Application Timeline.
Applicants will apply to the BSN Program using the Undergraduate Transfer Application (also known as the Common Application). When completing the University application, applicants will be asked to indicate their intended program of study, (i.e. nursing). In this application, applicants will provide their Nursing Personal Essay in the space designated for a personal statement.

Students are admitted once a year, for the fall quarter. Note: If you are an international student you must also submit a Declaration of Finances
Minimum Cumulative GPA: 2.75 Minimum Nursing Pre-Requisite GPA: 3.0
Note: these are the minimum GPA requirements needed to apply to the BSN program, our most competitive applicants generally have higher GPAs.

No - However, applicants are highly encouraged to take hold of any volunteer or job shadowing opportunities they may have available to them. This will help applicants better determine if nursing is the right professional fit.
Policy at Seattle University requires that all applicants whose first language is not English provide proof of English Proficiency regardless of their length of residency in the United States, their citizenship or their immigration status. Applicants must submit Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) results, International English Language Testing System (IETLS) results, or Michigan Proficiency Test results. Note: Applicants whose test results would require enrollment in Seattle University’s Cultural Language Bridge Program are not eligible for admission into the BSN Program. The transfer of credits from another institution depends on the number of credit hours earned, course content equivalency and final course grades. If you took an Advanced Placement Examination (or International Baccalaureate or CLEP) and obtained the minimum required score, credit may be granted. Note: Applicants must submit official scores directly to Seattle University from the testing organizations.
If you are a running start student and will be graduating from high school at the end of the academic year, you must apply to Seattle University as a freshman. Please contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions for more details on applying.
