Most applicants for whom English is a not the first/native language must demonstrate English Proficiency regardless of English language studies, academic history, residence in the United States or other English-speaking countries, or immigration status.
Seattle University maintains the right to require English Proficiency testing when deemed necessary.
English proficiency may be met with the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
BSN applicants must score a minimum of 92 (Internet) or 580 (Paper), no exceptions. An institutional TOEFL is offered monthly at SU, however scores are not transferrable to other institutions. Contact the Office of Admissions at 206.220.8040.
