Students in the BSN Program are encouraged to explore opportunities on campus and get involved in activities outside of the classroom. Below are some of the ways students can get involved:
SUSNA is a constituent member of the state association, Nursing Students of Washington State (NSWS), and of the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA). SUSNA is active in local community service activities and in student government. Additionally, attendance at the annual state and national convention each spring is organized by the chapter officers.
The College of Nursing is the Alpha Chapter and a member of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International. Senior nursing students with a GPA of 3.50 are invited to apply. For more information on this national organization, visit their website.
There are several opportunities for students who wish to incorporate an international experience into their program of study, including a study abroad opportunity in Sweden for transfer students in the BSN Program.
Please visit the College of Nursing’s Global Education webpage for more information.
Get connected with other transfer students in the BSN Program as well as other transfer students on campus through the various services provided by Commuter and Transfer Student Life. This includes attending Transfer SUcess events and registering with the Reidy Collegium. For more information on services, please visit their website. This office on campus also provides support to non-traditional students, students who are parents (SWAP) and Veterans.
