Voicemail

OIT Telecommunications provides voicemail service to all desktop phones on campus.

Requesting New Voicemail

To request a new voicemail setup, please contact the OIT Help Desk at x5571 or helpdesk@seattleu.edu with the following information.

  • The extension number that the voicemail will be setup for
  • The first and last name of the person who will use this mailbox

Please allow 24 hours for the new voicemail to be created.  Once completed, you will receive an email with the mailbox setup information.

Password & Full Mailbox Resets

To request a voicemail password reset or to have a mailbox setup for a new user, please contact the OIT Help Desk at x5571 or helpdesk@seattleu.edu with the following information.  Related Information.

  • Extension number of the voicemail to have its password reset

Additional information needed if the request is for a full mailbox reset.

  • First and last name of the person who will use this mailbox
  • If there are any messages in the mailbox, do you want to retain them or have them deleted?

Please allow 24 hours for the reset to be completed.  Once completed, you will receive an email with the mailbox setup information.

CryptoLocker on T Drive

April 11th 12:00pm

A CryptoLocker attack on 3/31/14 between 11:25am and 3:30pm impacted some University T Drive files. Impacted files are visible but encrypted, and cannot be opened. OIT has successfully restored thousands of impacted files. If your files are still encrypted from the CryptoLocker attack, please contact the SU Help Desk and submit a request to restore impacted files.

OIT will perform Planned Datacenter Maintenance on Friday April 25th, 6pm - midnight.

Email, internet, SU Online, and other services may be impacted.
