University Recreation
Facilities

Facility Rentals

  • Seattle University, the Connolly Complex, and the William F. Eisiminger Fitness Center welcome non-profit tax-exempt organizations. Event programming must be educational and/or recreational in nature and consistent with the mission and values of the University. Because Seattle University is exempt from property tax, and Washington State has strict laws governing how we use our tax-exempt property, non-University entities seeking to use University facilities must meet these requirements to ensure Seattle University's property tax-exempt status is not jeopardized.

To ensure availability and access to equipment if you do not have it, be sure to include what you need in your space request. However, our equipment selection is limited and may require a small usage fee.

    Rental Request:

We need at least 15 business days prior to the event date in order for your request to be considered.

Requests for national or regional events requiring additional lead-time should be submitted at least thirty 30 business days in advance. That time also allows for any further communications needed to properly prepare for the event and make any necessary changes/adjustments to the rental agreement.

Confirmation/rejection of events and programs will be made as time permits, generally no more than 5 business days after the request is received, or within 5 business days of the date(s) of the event. However, confirmation of each request is dependent upon the finalization of schedules within all higher priority levels.

Upon confirmation, details related to the planning of the event will be provided and a written estimate of fees will be made available upon request.

Rentals may be made within normal business hours. However, after-hours rentals are available on a limited basis. Additional staffing fees may apply due to the operation of the facility outside of normal facility operational hours.

Due to the high usage of the Connolly Complex and William F. Eisiminger Fitness Center by our University Recreation Department, Intercollegiate Athletic teams, and students of Seattle University, facility rentals may not always be available during the academic year.
