Olympic Weightlifting is a ground based, time efficient strength training protocol. Weightlifting teaches the body to move in unison by improving intramuscular coordination, kinesthetic awareness and explosive power. Weightlifting is one of the most effective ways to train core muscles, as well as promoting increased muscle fiber diameter (hypertrophy). This class will teach the basics of Olympic weightlifting to help participants understand the strength and power of their own bodies when utilized together effectively. Weightlifting is the only barbell sport in the Olympic Games.
