JASSO International Scholarship for Short Term Study in Japan
Gives JPY150,000 upon arrival and JPY80,000 a month for 3 to 12 months to study abroad in Japan

Bridging Scholarships for Study in Japan
Gives $2,500 for semester programs and $4,000 for year programs for undergraduates of any field to study abroad in Japan

Blakemore Freeman Fellowship
Covers academic, living & travel costs for 1 year of advanced Asian language study in Asia

Asian Cultural Council Fellowships and Projects 
Fellowships for artists and scholars in various fields of arts in various locations throughout Asia

Luce Scholars Program 
Living & travel costs and stipend for an 11-month cultural exchange program in Asia

Study Abroad in Europe

National Institutes of Health Oxford/Cambridge Scholars Program
Covers tuition at Oxford or Cambridge, living expenses, health insurance, and travel allowances for a Ph.D. in biomedical research

CDS International Fellowships Abroad
Information on 6 prestigious fellowships to Germany and Russia, including the Bosch Foundation Fellowship

Humboldt Foundation
A database on various post-doctoral research fellowships and opportunities

French Culture: Official Website of the Cultural Services of the French Embassy
Information on English teaching assistantships and research fellowships for various fields in France

American Academy in Rome Prize Disciplines 
Stipends of up to $25,000, food, and housing for post-doctoral and pre-doctoral study in certain humanities and arts at the American Academy in Rome

Think Swiss: Swiss Research Scholarships 
$700 a month for up to 3 months to study at a Swiss University

American Scandinavian Foundation Awards
Awards for Scandinavian students or Americans who want to study in Scandinavia

Harriet Hale Wooley Scholarship
8,500 euros for post-baccalaureate and graduate students to pursue visual fine arts and music in France

Opera Foundation American-Berlin & American-Turin Scholarships
$16,000 and round-trip flight to recieve advanced training in opera singing and are offered roles in actual productions

The Davies-Jackson Scholarship
Awards up to $50,000 covering travel, room, board, and all fees for two academic years of study at St. John's College, Cambridge University

Study Abroad in Multiple / Other Locations

Suave Scholars
Gives travel, tuition, housing, meals and supplies for this fellowship in Montreal focusing on world affairs and positive change

Killam Fellowships Program
$10,000 for a year or $5,000 a semester to do an exchange program in Canada

EMDAP: Emerging Markets Development Advisers Program
A 1-year professional, hands-on work experience for current or recent MBA students or MA students in international fields to provide management assistance to small and medium-sized enterprises in developing countries. Grants cover cost of living, travel, housing, language training and more

Joint Japan / World Bank Graduate Scholar Program
Covers tuition, travel, and costs of living towards master's degrees in the fields of development (such as economics, health, education, agriculture, environment, natural resource management, etc.) in universities across the world

International Dissertation Research Fellowships
Gives $20,000 for doctoral research in the humanities and social sciences conducted outside of the United States

CIEE: The Council on International Educational Exchange Scholarships 
Up to $1,000 to study abroad through various scholarship competitions

IIE Institute of International Education: Passport Study Abroad Funding
Huge database of study abroad funding opportunities

Clinton Scholars Program at the American University in Dubai 
Covers full tuition and housing for one term of study at the American University in Dubai

KAUST: King Abdullah University of Science and Technology Discovery Scholarships 
Full tuition, living, educational, and travel expenses for the remainder of your bachelor's degree and full tuition, living, and travel expenses for a master's degree program at KAUST in Saudi Arabia. For students of certain science and engineering fields

Mount Sinai International Exchange Program for Minority Students
Travel, housing, and stipends for minority students in fields including: education, health, biomedical, social work, environment, biology, etc. to work on community-based scientific research projects in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Chile, and South Africa
 

Whitaker International Fellows and Scholars Program for Biomedical Engineers
$15,000 or more in tuition, travel, and living expenses to intern or conduct research overseas in the field of biomedical engineering

Foundation for Global Scholars
Up to $2,500 towards funding for a study abroad program, internship, research, or service learning project

Fund for Education Abroad
Provides up to $10,000 towards funding for high-quality, rigorous study abroad programs

Application processes generally begin six months in advance of official scholarship deadlines. Check with the Office of Fellowships to obtain campus-specific deadline information.
