    About Austin

Hello & Aloha! I'm Austin Kawano and this will be my second year serving as your At-Large Representative of SGSU!

I am a junior, Go C/O 2015! & I am a Diagnostic Ultrasound major with a Biology minor in the College of Science & Engineering.

I grew up in Waipio Gentry on the beautiful island of Oahu in the ALOHA State!

This year I am excited to serve as the chair of the Tobacco Free Campus Exploration Committee & Vice- Chair of the Appropriations Committee. Besides that I hope that current students will build stronger relationships with alumni & become engaged alumni when they graduate. I want students to know about the many resources, programs, and events that SU has to offer and to encourage all students to become active members in the SU Community. Lastly, I wish to be an advocate for all undergraduate students & assist with any endeavors!

    Why he loves Seattle University:

I love Seattle University because SU is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get. Which is true about everything at SU, considering all the diverse people, professors, events held, clubs, music venues, art sculptures, and the weather. It's always exciting to see what's going to happen next! But I have to admit that I love gray skies and rain the most.
